Delta restoration was wonderful with helping me through a flood in my basement. They came same day within an hour of my call. Although I hope I don’t need them again, I will definitely be giving them a call if I do. Highly recommend them and their services. Rachel J.

Spring Cleaning To Keep Your Home Safe

Spring Cleaning To Keep Your Home Safe

Spring Cleaning To Keep Your Home Safe

  • During the spring rain comes down hard. One clean warm day takes time to check your rook for any damage or missing shingles. Avoiding leaks will stop future water damage and mold damage in the future.

  • Winter is over and you can open your windows and doors to let the fresh air in. Spring is the perfect time to check around your windows, doors, and vents in your home to see how the caulking is. This will help keep moisture out of your home and help eliminate mold growth.

  • Take this extra time indoors to replace all the smoke detector batteries in your home.

  • Enjoy the sunshine and clean out your gutters! When your gutters are clogged you have to deal with potential rot and wearing down.

  • To avoid water leaks in your home don't forget to add “check furnace vents and chimneys for damage” on your spring cleaning list. This will help alleviate potential water disasters this summer.

  • Clean out your garage! By removing any combustible materials that may be exposed to automobile components you can minimize potential fire hazards in and around your home.

  • Always be sure to check and replace any burned out lightbulbs. Consider using fluorescent or led bulbs that generate less heat and are more efficient.

  • Inspect the trees in your yard. Dead trees can be a fire hazard and can cause more damage if they’re blown over during a storm or heavy winds.

We hope you can check some if not all of these spring cleaning tips off your list this season. We care about keeping your home safe, and minimizing potential disasters. If you are in need of fire restoration, mold removal, and water restoration Delta Restoration Services will help put your home back together.
